Laois & Offaly ETB

LOETB is the patron of nine Post-Primary Schools, including one school which provides education through the medium of Irish, and is joint trustee with five Community Schools. LOETB has four schools in Co. Laois and five schools in Co Offaly, all providing a comprehensive range of education programmes to meet the needs of the local community. All schools are co-educational and multi-denominational, committed to our ETB School Core Values of Excellence in Education, Care, Equality, Community and Respect. We provide the highest quality educational experience for learners in line with the Department of Education and Skills ‘Looking at our Schools Quality Framework’. Our schools offer an extensive and innovative curriculum which supports learners to reach their full personal and academic potential. A broad range of extracurricular activities are also provided. Significant student services are offered through pastoral support structures, guidance, student support teams and the school completion programme.

LOETB schools prepare students for higher/further education, PLC programmes or direct entry into the workplace. A full range of subjects is offered at both Junior and Senior cycle. In addition to both Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate programmes schools also provide specialised programmes such as Junior Cycle School Programme (JCSP), Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA), Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (LCVP) and Transition Year (TY).
